Hellenisms
Latin sometimes uses Greek words and names.
Names will take the Greek form.
The example in the exercises is Acmen in Exercise 8 (Catullus). This is in the accusative. Her name would decline as follows:
| Case | Name |
| Nom. | Acme |
| Acc. | Acmen |
| Gen. | Acmes |
| Dat. | Acme |
Greek has no ablative.
Other words include those with a 'z' such as zona, girdle.
